About the time in Ankara
Ankara runs on Europe/Istanbul, which puts the city UTC +3 from Coordinated Universal Time right now. The clock at the top of this page is not copied from your device: it is anchored to our reference timestamp and re-rendered every second against the IANA time zone database, so it stays right even when a laptop or phone has quietly drifted.
Clocks in Ankara stay put all year. There is no summer-time switch to remember, so UTC +3 is what you will get in January and in July alike — useful if you book recurring calls with people in Turkey.
Around 5,782,285 people live in Ankara, and all of them keep the same civil time, so the reading above applies to the whole urban area — not just the city centre.
