About the time in Czechia
The zone identifier Europe/Prague is the value you want in code, calendars and travel systems. Abbreviations change with the season, but Europe/Prague keeps pointing at Prague time whatever the date, which is why every timestamp on this page is built from it.
Sunrise today lands at 07:11 and sunset at 06:23 local time, giving 11h 12m of daylight. Those figures come from the city's own coordinates (49.75, 15.00) rather than a country-wide average, so they match what you would actually see from a window in Czechia.
Czechia is on daylight saving time at the moment, which is why the offset reads UTC +2 instead of its winter value. Clocks go back on 25 October 2026, and anything scheduled across that date shifts by an hour.
